Good News: Two Innovative Practice Achievements of LZPU Selected into the 2025 Excellent Cases of Guangxi's Digital Transformation in Education

The two cases, "Construction of an Industry-Education Integration Digital-Intelligent Training Base and Innovation in Talent Cultivation Model for Information Technology Application Innovation (ITAI) Talents" (Case No. 13) and "DeepSeek Empowers Vocational Education: Innovative Practice of 'Intelligent Transformation' in the Digital Transformation of Liuzhou Polytechnic University (LZPU)" (Case No. 14), led by the School of Electronic Information Engineering and the Network & Information Center of our university respectively, stood out and were selected into the excellent cases in the vocational education category.
A total of 17 excellent cases in vocational education were selected across the region this time, and LZPU holds two of them. This demonstrates our university's forward-looking layout and solid achievements in promoting the digital transformation in education.
The case "Construction of an Industry-Education Integration Digital-Intelligent Training Base and Innovation in Talent Cultivation Model for Information Technology Application Innovation (ITAI) Talents" is led by Jiang Wensheng, with the joint participation of teachers including Chen Tengda. With the rapid growth in demand for on-site engineers specialized in information system operation and maintenance in Guangxi's ITAI industry, this case addresses existing challenges in ITAI talent cultivation—such as inadequate collaborative talent development platforms, mismatched talent training standards, and unclear talent cultivation pathways. It takes the construction of an industry-education integration digital-intelligent training base for ITAI talent cultivation as a key driver, and innovates a collaborative talent development model featuring "one platform, six joint efforts, and five measures".
In line with the concept of "digitalization, networking, and intelligentization", LZPU has adopted the implementation approach of "integrating industry with education and combining science with education". Through university-enterprise collaboration, we have jointly built and shared an industry-education integration training base for ITAI talent cultivation in aspects including mechanism construction, dual-subject talent development (jointly led by the university and enterprises), digital resource development, and the training of "dual-qualified teachers" (teachers with both academic expertise and industry experience). This initiative empowers the cultivation of talents for the end market of Guangxi's ITAI industry and realizes in-depth integration of industry, academia, research, and application.
In this case, LZPU, in collaboration with enterprises including Aisino Corporation, has successfully applied for a project under the first batch of national on-site engineer specialized training programs. This project initially secured approval at the provincial level from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in 2023, and was upgraded to a national-level project in 2024.
The case "DeepSeek Empowers Vocational Education: Innovative Practice of 'Intelligent Transformation' in the Digital Transformation of Liuzhou Polytechnic University (LZPU)" is led by Meng Biao and jointly completed by teachers including Huang Huanle and Nie Wei, which keenly captures the disruptive impact of generative artificial intelligence technology on educational models. It takes the lead in deeply integrating large language models such as DeepSeek into the entire chain of teaching, management, evaluation, and services, and systematically expounds on the university's practical path from "digital transformation" to "intelligent application".
This case is not only a demonstration of technological application, but a profound reflection on the reconstruction of the vocational education ecosystem. It signifies that our university is moving from "digital tools" to "intelligent systems", providing valuable "LZPU Experience" for vocational colleges across the region to address challenges and seize opportunities in the AI era.
The high recognition won by the two cases from the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region owes to our university's long-term commitment to reform and innovation, as well as the deepening of connotative development. It demonstrates the breakthrough progress our university has achieved in two key fields—industry-education integration and artificial intelligence—under the guidance of the "Digital LZPU" strategy. It is not just honors, but also a new starting point for us to keep deepening the reform of education and teaching.
As the leading units of the cases, the School of Electronic Information Engineering and the Network & Information Center have closely aligned with the development needs of Guangxi's digital economy and intelligent manufacturing industry. They have made bold explorations in key areas such as program development, curriculum reform, and practical training innovation, and have become the "vanguard" and "pilot field" for the university's digital transformation in education.
Meng Biao, head of the School of Electronic Information Engineering, stated that the school will take this award as an opportunity to further promote the consolidation, dissemination, and upgrading of the achievements, and to support the university's fulfilling of the "National Top-notch Vocational Institutions and Programs Plan" and its high-quality development.
In the new journey of the national educational digitalization strategic initiative, our university will continue to uphold the philosophy of "technology leadership, industry-education integration, and student-centered education". We will further deepen the practical application, iteration, and upgrading of the two excellent cases, and constantly expand the breadth and depth of digital transformation. The university will actively share its successful experience, work hand in hand with other vocational colleges across the region to jointly contribute more "LZPU Wisdom" and "LZPU Strength" to building a high-quality vocational education system in Guangxi, serving local economic and social development, and supporting the implementation of national strategies.
