From News Center (Text by Jiang Xuan, School of Arts; Photo by Li Da, School of Arts) On December 8, 2022, students from Music Education Major of LVTC School of Arts won the third prize of the Professional Group in the Guangxi University Students' Chorus Competition under the theme of "Paying Tribute to 20th CPC National Congress with Youth, Embarking on a New Journey of Making Contribution to Building a Strong Country", ranking ninth in the total score.

It is reported that this competition is a large-scale chorus competition sponsored by the Education Committee and the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The participants are full-time college students in General Higher Education Institution. Students are divided into Group A and Group B. Group A is for non-Music Major and Group B is for Music Major. A total of 24 college teams participated in the Professional Group, and most of the teams were from undergraduate universities. LVTC's choir composed of students from Music Education Major ranked second in the third prize of the undergraduate professional group, fully demonstrating the positive spirit students from Music Education Major, as well as the excellent guidance ability of choir instructor Qin Hongping, vocal instructor Li Da and art instructor Jiang Xuan.

The competition lasted only twenty days from the announcement of the competition to the deadline for the collection of works. Due to tight schedule and heavy task, the participating students and instructors spent all their spare time participating in the rehearsal. The honor attributed to the efforts of the students and teachers, and even the strong support of the college's leaders! "April showers bring May flowers." I wish the students from Music Education Major another success in the future competition and sing for youth!
